Immunity…A Perfect Self Defense

Combined with physical exercises can give great benefit in strengthening the immune system and fighting the disease. A person with fever also can sometimes do few minutes of physical exercises. In case that is not possible, breathing exercise can be done.

What is Rhythmic Yogic Abdominal Breathing? 

When you do Deep Abdominal Breathing, you are using 60 to 70% of your lung capacity. It is already 4 to 5 times more. Even if you practice this breathing technique for 5 minutes and about 3 to 4 times a day, you will slowly increase the utilization of your lung capacity at other times too compared to where you started.

The Wesak Festival:

It is believed that, the Enlightened Being, who became Buddha on Earth, i.e., Gautama Buddha, also known as Buddha Shakyamuni, descends to Earth. He descends down from a place much higher than we can think of, for a specific period of 8 minutes!

Gene and Environment:

Dr. Abdul Kalam, in his book Transcendence, quoted Bruce Lipton’s research which indicates that it is the environment, and more specifically, our attitude to or perception of the environment which controls our gene activity and hence our life. So, it is not that the gene dictates everything. It simply means “mind over matter”! Gene might control to a certain extent, but environment influences the gene and furthermore, our own attitude effects the gene.
